Recently, with the open of Shanghai World Expo 2010, the tourists would find a vertically rotating wind turbine erected on the top of the Indian House. This wind turbine is the product of Shanghai Aeolus Windpower Technology Co., Ltd. (SAWT), a vertical-axis wind turbine (VAWT). The rated power of this wind turbine is 3kw, which means it could generate 3kw AC power in the wind speed of 12m/s. The wind generating system complements the photo-voltaic system on the top of Indian House, meanwhile utilize the rainwater collection system to collect the reclaimed water for landscaping and irrigating. Therefore, the Indian House announced that no non-clean energy was needed and they are the most Environment-friendly pavilion in Shanghai World Expo.
Shanghai Aeolus Windpower Technology Co., Ltd. (SAWT) is an innovative company engaged in R&D, manufacturing and sales of vertical-axis wind turbine (VAWT). Now SAWT has made a breakthrough in the VAWT field, which is one of the world's biggest issues. The products are not only used in the Indian House project of Shanghai World Expo, but also have an application in the GSM system for Shanghai World Expo.
